VIN Sticker Question
VIN Sticker Question
We purchased a preowned 2020 MDX base SHAWD recently and I was poking around under the hood and I couldn't find a VIN stamp on the bottom of the hood. Does this mean the hoods been replaced or is it normal for it to not have one or is it under the underhood mat thingy... does anyone know where this sticker may be located. I also noticed that there isn't a transmission dipstick which I found odd.
I have a 11 MDX with VIN stickers on hood, 4 doors, and hatch. My 19 MDX doesn't have any VIN stickers in the same place; unless, they are hidden under a plastic cover I can't see. MY 19 MDX just has a bar code in the drivers door jam and the normal VIN plate in the lower part of the driver's side windshield.

The new MDXs do not have VIN stickers all over the car like a normal car. Typically, you would find the VIN number on the hood, each door, trunk, etc. I used to work at an Acura dealer and we noticed on the newer ones (I cant remember if it started in 2018 or 2019 or 2020) but there were no vin stickers all over the car. We are not sure why Acura chose to do this. So it is normal not to see the VIN stickers on a new MDX
