Steering wheel roughness / creaking?

I'm trying to decide if this is a problem with my specific 2014 MDX AWD tech or just a characteristic of the steering in general.

When I am in a parking lot cranking the wheel at low speed (such as in or out of a spot), the wheel feels kind of creaky and makes a bit of a sound. Not a squeak or a creak, but just a sound that seems louder than it should be if everything were moving smoothly.

This is purely limited to very low speed maneuvering where I am cranking the wheel all the way around. I'm curious if other owners are experiencing something similar. Again, I don't know if something is off on my wheel or whether this is just characteristic of the steering in general.

I think some noise while parking may be normal but not what I would expect on this caliber of car. What's your IDS setting?

I usually keep it in normal, but I get the same effect regardless of setting.

maybe, you need to have it checked out. Have about 1200km on mine and nothing like this.

I don't have creaking noise but there is definitely additional noise when doing tight turns. I will put this on during my next visit...
