Second row seats don't fold down!
Hauled a 55" Samsung TV today and the box barely fit! Why didn't the Acura Engineers design the second row seats to fold flat!

The 2nd row seats fold down flat as shown in the below picture.
If you still don't consider that as fold down flat, I don't know what does.

The fold flat feature was the deciding factor between the '12 MDX on the lot, the '13 RDX, and the '14 MDX we ended up with. How could we expect our dog to sleep across the step in the back of the RDX or slide down the incline of the '12 MDX? Admittedly I AMA bit embarrassed to admit that we spent that much money for our dog, but no regrets.

How did the suspension hold up during your "R and R"?
Btw, I appreciate the dedication that Acurazine members have to testing all possible uses of the MDX. If you plan to continue with the "R and R" may I recommend the "Cargo Liner" which "protects your original cargo area, including the floor, sides, and backs of the 2nd-row seats, from the wear and tear of normal, everyday use." Not sure if "spills" are covered but it should help...

So what the hell is the OP talking about?
The 2nd row does fold flat.
The 2nd row does fold flat.

I think OP might've been trying to transport the TV standing upright instead of laying flat? The MDX load floor isn't completely flat, but it is better than most 3 row SUVs. I transported a 70" Vizio LED from Costco in my 07 Murano and it fit just fine laying flat.

I think maybe also the OP was reading on the box where it states not to lay flat. Pretty much all of the LED/LCD/Plasma TV have a warning stating not to lay flat. I have always done it without any problems though.
