Rim Blades...
#3
I have the same rims and my wife also did the rim rash thing. I saw those also in a car mag. I used a black gloss touch up pen to cover the exposed rim rash section (about 4-5 inches). I had the pen for my eMTB to cover up all the little nicks I get when trail riding with the aluminum frame. It did a good job of covering up the damage and you don't notice it unless you know where to look.

I doubt if those are going to protect you against a curb. Been there. That said, local rim shop fixed it so you can't even see where it was. The rims on the car are a poor design. They should have a removable outer rim band that can be replaced.

Have you seen wheels that have this?
