Car lurching

Hi,

Just want to know if anyone experiencing the same thing on the 6 speed tranny,
So if I slowly accelerating from a stop, the car will lurch forward when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, my body actually leans forward, it's very uncomfortable, if I press the gas hard enough, I won't feel anything.
Same thing happens when decelerating/braking, when the speed reduce around 20mph, from 2nd to 1st gear, the car lurch forward with the exact same feeling.

I had the similar 6 speed in my wife's TL, and it would start acting like that when it was time to drain-and-fill the transmission fluid. For some reason the 6 speed is pretty sensitive to the changes in fluid, especially as it gets "old". In that car I'd just drain and fill the fluid every 25-30k miles as a regular matter of course. Some do it more often than that....

Good to see your reply.

The dealership changed the TC and flush the tranny 3 times in the beginning of 2019, and I only put less than 10k miles on it so far, I don't know, as I recalled, even though after they done all that, the lurching was still there.

Probably still worth it to do a single drain and fill. Examine the magnet on the drain plug for any debris. If there is any, take a photo for your records. The fluid should still be cherry red, with only a slight "Oily" smell (compare it with the new fluid smell). Save a sample of the fluid for inspection at the dealership it it shows any signs of burnt smell or discoloration.
