Rear audio always turns off when restarting '14 MDX with Ent Package

I've searched and didn't see this in any of the issues threads for the 14-16 MDX. Whenever I power cycle my '14 MDX, the rear audio is turned off. I have to go into the settings to turn it back on every time. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or am I missing a setting somewhere to permanently keep it on?

Thanks.

Well to answer my own question and for the benefit of anyone else having this issue. I found the following thread after scouring the web (Rear Speakers Seemingly Off By Default All The Time - 2014 Touring Elite ...). It appears if the rear DVD is on (even if the screen is closed), it will always default the rear audio to off. I will try turning off the DVD player later tonight when I have the vehicle and report back.

I was finally was able to confirm that if the DVD player is on the rear audio will default to off even if the console is closed. Whenever it happens, I just hit the power button on the DVD player rather than going through the 5 clicks on touch screen to turn the rear audio on. Once I turn off the power to the DVD, the rear audio automatically comes on.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but believe this is true of all Honda/Acuras with RES (Roof Entertainment System). Pretty sure our 04 Ody did this and I know our 07 MDX did this as well. If you are sitting in the back and watching a DVD you don't want music or whatever from the head unit playing in the rear speakers competing with DVD and headphones.
