The 2015 TLX SH-AWD was a great car, but Ive just about had enough with the poor shifting 9ZF and the vibrations on the highway. Acura Canada has no solutions for either, unlike Acura USA that is at least trying with various TSB's and even replacing transmissions. Its a great car IMO, but the 9 is a real let down. Rough upshifts and slow downshifts, it doesnt hold gears long enough, just a real let down.

The MDX Elite on the other hand, although uses basically the same engine/tranny/awd drives like a dream. Smooth, quiet and it bangs through the gears with authority. Step on it and it shifts down immediately. Upshifts are smooth and seem to happen later and keep the revs up, the Tech features have been advanced, the leather and interior feels much higher quality, smooth and quick HU interface, etc.

I love the new grill and overall design language and Ive had several positive comments too. I think it looks aggressive and athletic, hardly bland at all.

My 2 fav features so far and probably pretty basic... the walk-away auto lock and the seat and steering wheel both move when the door opens.

Congrats! Coincidentally I am driving a 2015 V6 TLX as my daily driver and just picked up the same MDX (albeit FWD) for the Mrs. My TLX shifts abruptly at low speeds but otherwise drives fine. I also like the fuel economy (around 30 MPG in mixed traffic) even with the V6.

Agreed on your second favorite feature: the power steering column is pretty damn cool.

I got my 2016 in April and love it. Big upgrade from my 2011 RDX.

I also love how the seat and steering column moves for easy egress. Additionally, I love the puddle lights on the mirrors and the pretty headlights. And the comfy seats and.....well
