Is this Normal for tires?

Hi guys, it has been a while since I last post. Today I was rotating my tires and I stumble this upon 3 out of 4 tires. I have never seen this before or noticed a missing "groove". Is this normal or tires are defected? Pictures will be posted. Thank you.

If your alignment checks out and there isn't any suspension issues; then, that could be normal wear/tear if this is the driver front tire or the driver's side only. My tires start to wear in the same place on all three of my vehicles because I hit the corners pretty hard with sh-awd with my MDX/RDX and A-Spec+Progress RSB suspension on my TSX. I rotate/cross-rotate every oil change to even out the wear.

It looks like the groove was either not molded into the tire, or it was molded in shallower than the rest of them. I would contact Michelin and ask if that is some sort of an early warning system of shallow tread.

3 out of 4 tires has the same thing. No groove was molded in that spot at all. I do have an older 19 inch set same brand and model and the grooves were all there. I have never seen imperfections like that before unless that shop sold me Grade B stocks.

I'm like 95% sure the tires came new with either no groove or a shallow groove. I suppose it could either be a mid-production run change to act as a wear indicator or a Q/C issue. Either way I'd be inclined to contact Michelin.

Agreed, but the block in the picture isn't obviously lower than the surrounding blocks, and last time I checked, tires don't grow rubber.
