New or Used 14 MDX?

Hey Guys,

This is my first post on this forum. I am a current 10 RDX owner and am looking at buying a 14 MDX. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices. First Is a brand new 14 FWD MDX. Second is a used 14 FWD MDX with 4,000 miles that is certified. Both cars are identical in color and options. Certified gets an extra 12 months 12k bumper to bumper added to the factory warranty plus extended power train warranty. Price differential is $1000 (used one is cheaper). Which would you guys choose? Thanks

I would go with a new one. Maybe try to negotiate harder.

I got them down $2500 off msrp. Not budging too much on the used vehicle because of the certified status (so they say).

I would buy new not used for only $1000.00. You never really know the truth of why such a new car is for resale. Also you can probably work an extended warranty into the deal on a new one.

The $1K difference doesn't justify buying the one with 4K miles on the clock.

But if it were $5K difference, then it might worth considering.

Thanks guys! Just thought the 1k difference and extra year warranty made a difference. Then again, I feel kinda weird spending that kind of $ on a used vehicle.
