bought a 19 genesis g70 2.0 turned out to be a terrible experience and they car was a 🍋.

Yesterday I got a smoking deal on an MDX. Anyways I knew going into it my escort max was going to go nuts in it.

What radar detector can can I use in this car that’s not going to go crazy with k band (some cops run k in Illinois so turning it off is not an option)

so far what ive gathered is the

rodenseo pro m is the only one I think is safe but there has to be more.

 

Can you tune your current detector to not use the bands that the MDX uses? I know the Valentine V1 allows you to tune

 

Whats up moderator. The V1 does indeed allow individual bands to be enabled / disabled, but for the V1 it affects whole bands, i.e. he either shuts off or turns on K band in its entirety. It sounds like the OP needs a detector that manages selective disabling of portions of the K band or perhaps some kind of false alert filtering.

 

What was wrong with the Genesis?

I ended up updating my escort max 2 and it was fine. I’m in the Midwest and cops still run k band in Illinois so deleting the whole band is not an option

 

Have you tried using your radar with the ACC/CMBS turned off? It could be the other vehicles on the road with radar causing the issue also?

 

I just downloaded the latest update from escort. Issue is solved

Did the same with my 19 MDX Hybrid! Felt the chrome look more luxury than sporty for the sh-sh-awd.

 

Your MDX looks great, Congratulations! If you want a tip get rid of the dealer logos from the plates, it'll look a lot cleaner that way.

I think so too, however the dealer did such a great job I’m going to leave them I think, or ask them if they have black ones

 

I was going to wrap; but, most places said the wrap might only last for months before it starts to slowly peel around the tight areas like the door handles. The plastic dip is a little more heat resistant around the exhaust outlets compared to wrap. I figured folks plastic dip rims and that last for years. I also did a badge delete only leaving the Acura symbol on the front and rear. Doing the chrome delete seemed to darken up the fathom blue pearl a shade compared to having the chrome trim. Debating about doing a black wrap on the roof between the roof rails to help to protect it in the southwestern sun. It would be similar to a fathom blue pearl version of the Acura PMC MDX without the Aspec kit.

 

This was a horrible experience. I hope i never have to go through that.
The thing that bothered me the most, is the massive risk they were willing to take with YOUR safety.
