My rear windshield washer started to leak about a week ago (19 MDX Adv hybrid). I don't catch it in the act and it seems to leak a little bit once a day. I just see the dry residue of orange RainX all season wiper fluid on the rear glass when I go home for the day from work. I don't think I've used my rear glass washer since last winter?
Trying to think about the situation where that could happen. Given there's fluid in the line but not under pressure, the only way it could dribble like that is if the supply line somehow is split, thus allowing the fluid in the line to drain down since the suction in the line is not holding it up any more (not sure if I'm explaining it properly). Check the fluid line near the hinge area to see if something looks worn or you see fluid there. strange....
I had no issues during the middle of summer with temps between 90-105 degrees? The outside temps have been in the low 80s the last few days and no leaks. I'm getting close to the end of my 4yr/50,000 mile basic warranty expiring in Mar/23. Worried about the lower fall/winter temps might not cause it to leak and hard to diagnose. It has only been this wiper fluid leak and a slight rattle with my driver/passenger front side glass at hwy speeds are the only issues with my MDX (fixed the widow rattle with silicon grease in the felt lining).
