Am I the only one who hates the remote with remote start? Too big and heavy for my liking. What was Acura thinking?

 

The weight is in the key, not the fob. Take the key out and carry the fob alone until you suspect the battery may be running down.

 

When you're coming from a 2014 rdx with auto start and TWO FOBS that scratch just looking at them....
The MDX w/ auto start fob is AWESOME

 

curious: what's the approx. weight for the remote start fob and included key?

 

78 grams or 2.7 ounces

but for your question, the weight is about right when you consider the remote is combined with the fob
