Help With Potential Purchase

I am an RDX owner and a friend asked me to help check out an MDX. Could any of you help me by sharing any known MDX-specific issues I should look out for? It's a 2017 Tech with AWD.

I tried my best to search the forums and google, so I have some background, but if any of you could share any insights that might help, I'd appreciate it.

This is the TSB list for 17 model, I guess this is the best list to check before pulling the trigger.

This is the second place I check for car complaints

Apple CarPlay/Android Auto was added with the +18 MDXs if that is a consideration for purchase. There is always the option to add NAVTOOL or GROM VLine2 to the 17 MDX.

Is it a CPO or off some random lot? A CPO will have a had a thorough inspection.

Yes, CPO. I did a basic inspection. The only thing I found of note was a pronounced ticking sound at idle. It appears that is not uncommon on the MDX based on what I've read.

Thanks to those who commented for the input!!!

Ticking at idle is often times valve noise. Poor oil, low quality fuel can varnish up the valves causing noise. Never heard of noise complaints on the forums, so I doubt its all that common. Since there is zero drive train differences between a Baste, Tech, or Advanced I also dont see this not being a model specific issue.
