Emissions system/ Electric parking brake Problem

Ugh! So today after driving my 2019 MDX Sport Hybrid close to empty which I never do (range of about 50-60miles to spear) I fill the tank up. After about an hour or so, I get these two warning messages. Emissions system problem and electric parking brake problem. What the heck? Has anyone else experienced this exact issue with their MDX hybrid? I did some research and found that other TLX/RLX and maybe one or two MDX owners have reported the same issue. I'm a little disappointed with this, like really. From what I can tell, its not a MAJOR issue that would prevent me from driving my MDX but its something that needs to be looked into soon. Any thoughts?

Well, like so many issues resolved easily, first thing first. Check battery voltage, and have a load test performed. its not uncommon on newer cars that error codes can often be traced to a low voltage issue.

I agree with Donn0128 about double-checking the battery first; especially, if you still have the original battery. Acura doesn't seem to be much help with these types of issues. I have a local Interstate battery store and they test for free.

Thanks Donn0128 and mrgold35 I decided to take to the stealership this morning before I saw you guys post. The only Acura dealership open on a Sunday, about 55 miles from the house. Well, my MDX is failing to communicate with their equipment so after about 2 hrs of waiting they didn't want me to wait any longer and gave me a 2022 MDX loaner to take home. Fortunately, I'm in no rush, I just want them to get it right. My fingers crossed that it's nothing major but if so, I guess that is what warranties are for. When I hear something I will let you know.

Well after several days, I finally got my MDX back last night. I should have gotten it back sooner but due to a lack of communication at the dealership it took a few days. Actually, I didn't mind since I got to ride in a 2023 MDX for a few days. Anyway, they replaced the EVAP Purge Control Solenoid Value and performed Transmission Adaptive Learn procedure. Everything is all good.
