Active cruise control question

Do the rear brake lights get turned on when the car brakes by itself while in cruise control?
For the past 3 days I am driving a 2016 MDX loaner and against my pre-conception, liked it very much. The 9 speed gear box did not hesitate or hunt that much as mentioned in this group. The engine seems more eager than in my 2013 and the overall look inside is more refined.
I am having a hard time with the interface of the radio/HVAc, etc. it needs more buttons!
The rear camera is as bad or even worse than on my 2013 MDX. I really don't get how Acura dares to sell a $55K camera with such terrible camera and low rest screen combo.

The Active Cruise Control (ACC) and Collision Mitigation Braking system (CMBS) should do both (do/do not use brake lights) depending on closing speed. If ACC/CMBS radar detects an object, it may just let off the gas to maintain the interval (no brake lights). If the speed difference is greater; then one/some/all of the CMBS stages kicks in to reduce the potential of a collision (brake lights used). I don't think you can have ACC without CMBS to help slow down the MDX?

I imagine if the brakes are used, lights go on, if coasting, not on.

I always wonder this as the guy behind me must always think I'm a paranoid driver as anytime someone slows down or comes in the lane, brake lights go on. I wish there was a little LED that went on in my rear windshield that says, "Driving by Radar, Expect Sudden Stops" or something. I find that when I radar drive and someone finally passes me, they usually look over, probably because of the unnatural driving of auto cruise control haha.

I'm also curious if the lights go on myself. Can someone drive behind someone with an MDX and take a video? I notice when I use ACC and someone in front of slows down, the MDX is rough when it brakes. Good thing to show the brakes are effective but really rough and annoying.
