2020 Nav Navigation Infotainment Screen Blanking

Hi Fellas,

I have a 2020 MDX SH-AWD Advance purchased Mar 2021. I have had five intermittent occasions where the top Nav screen turning black / blank. Instances occur during route guidance and non route guidance. A quick remedy is to pull over to the side of the street and restart the car. I have taken pictures and documented to the service advisor over at Weir Canyon Acura. After 4 days at the shop, the dealership could not replicate the issue and no fix (other than diagnostics). My best bet is to get it to a dealership should my screen blanks again. This is concerning.

My previous car was a 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring. Early this year, I took it in for a Recall 20-039:6Bf00 for the mutli model BCM program SW. I do not know is this is related since the MDX is a Honda (/Acura) product.

I could not find an exact thread but found:

Can anyone help steer me in the right direction? Thank you.

Your right, best to try and get to the dealer when the screen goes blank. Remember DO NOT turn the car off. It took my car about 30 days off and on in the shop to fix a seat memory function on my 2018. Intermittant issues are almost to diagnose unless it fails at the time its being looked at. I spend nearly 30 years in field service and I cannot count the times I would go to a customers and the machine would work perfectly only to fail 30 minues after I left.

We have a 2020 MDX tech. But our friends have a 2020 MDX advance and they were having the exact same issue as you. In fact, if they were on the phone when the issue happened, the phone call was dropped. They took it to the dealer and the dealer could not replicate it but ended up replacing the entire unit for them. Not sure exactly what was replaced but that solved the problem.

Yeah, after having my car for almost 5 days I received 'a concern was documented, the picture was show to the district manager, however, nothing could be done at this time.'
