2019 MDX A-Spec
I have written here in the past, about buying this vehicle, but was also testing the RDX and Honda Pilot Black edition. I liked all of the vehicles but ultimately decided the Pilot was to van like, and bumpy, the RDX too sporty for this 56 year old and the MDX was just what I was looking for, smooth, quiet, powerful, V6, and great looking in thee ASpec trim, that coupled with the rebates and low interest rates. The cost between the Pilot and MDX were very close. RDX pricing has increased, interest rates are higher, and no rebates, but a bit less than the MDX. I have had an MDX in the past (04/06), but they were more the size of the RDX.
I asked my dealer to eat the last 2 months of my 17 RDX Elite lease, which they were initially reluctant to do, but came through. I get my Black on Black tomorrow.
Looking forward to getting it.

I have had my MDX since Friday, and the poor thing had a nice sunny, day (54 degrees), a rainy miserable day and today we had about 8" of snow. My poor baby.
Anyway, I come from a 17 RDX Elite (top end in Canada), and there are many similar features in both vehicles. Some that I like that are included in my MDX, which did not come with the 17 RDX includes the feature that when you walk away from the car it automatically locks (as long as you have the key fob on you), Apple Carplay is a great feature, the messages feature is much better. The audio screen has a much better display for XM Radio and Apple Carplay audio. The power folding mirrors when the car is locked, (the 17 RDX had this but did not fold in when locked, rather you had to open and close them with a button), same button as in the MDX), heated windshield, came in handy today, heated steering wheel. Another couple cool things, puddle lights to side mirrors, red ambient lighting above the console, in the footwells and to the interior door handles. Very cool.
I know some here don't like the alcantara seats but I do. I also love the blacked out look, especially the wheels. The windows appear darker than standard MDXs, but I am not sure. For those of you who do not like badges, this Aspec is not for you. There are 3 Aspec badges to the front doors and hatch, plus Aspec sill plates (4), and another Aspec badge in the steering wheel.
As for the drive, very powerful, seems more powerful than the V6 in the RDX, yet I know they are similar engines, I like the transmission and the smoothness. I also like the extra space. I will likely never use the 3rd row, but I like the rear storage area with the seats down, which will normally be the case.
I am very happy so far.
