Well I lied. A month ago I said we were getting an RDX w SHAWD and Advanced pkg. Wife changed her mind, we're getting an MDX tomorrow. I like the MDX more, but hate that we won't be getting the added features of the Advanced pkg. That being said, while we could afford the payment, the pros and cons fell in favor of a lower payment.

I already have a quote for tint, Xpel front film, and complete ceramic protection for about $1800. Will post pictures when we pick it up.

 

The only thing I kind of miss is the surround cameras of the Advanced package. The rest is just fluff. All those add ons? Your choice, I just dont see it as a worthwhile expense. McGuires Advanced is an outstanding finish protection at a fraction of the cost.
Like my service manager mentioned when I gave him my list of stuff that is failing on my 18 Tech as the more sruff manufactuers add the more stuff that can go wrong. With all the computers on new cars today, as long as everything works its great. But when stuff start to fail, good luck!
BTW you might be better off buyingmthe Acura extended warranty.

 

For me I really like nearly all the extras with the Advance, such as Active Dampers, 360 Surround Cameras, Auto-Dim side mirrors, ventilated seats, solid wood trim on center console, LED fog lights, roof rails. Other stuff like heated steering wheel, heated 2nd row seats, contrast stitching & piping, perforated milano seats are nice to have but definitely weren't something I'd pay extra for.

 

I will be adding the fog lights myself if I can't get them thrown in when I buy it. They're a must here, although they are a nice addition period.

 

Yeah they not only look sharp they really illuminate the road and ditches to the side of the road

 

I am really pleased I went with the MDX as I was going to get an RDX at one point.
