2017 MDX adv w/ '20 wheels. - performance
Thinking of getting a '17 MDX adv but not very happy about '20 rims. Anyone have experiance with '20 rims and whether i should ask for '18 instead ?

It's a 50 profile tire, so it's not really in that danger zone of blowing out easier. Once you step under 45 profile I would start worrying. I ran 45 profile for years without issue and I would think that most people wouldn't be crashing through potholes and such, which is where blowouts of that sort usually happen.
That being said, comfort on different profiles is subjective. You need to just test drive it to be certain. The MDX is supposed to be more "sporty," and the lower profiles (thus less sidewall flexing) lend to it. I personally don't find the 20s to be any less comfortable than the 19s the 2014-2016s came with. But yes, there is a big comfort difference with 18s, but it really takes away from handling too. So if comfort is your main priority, go with 18s or even 19s (harder to find cheap tire options though).

I had 14', now have 17' advanced with the 20's. I do not notice the difference in ride (although the 9speed tranny makes a world of difference). Im very particular with my cars, ride difference from wheels should not be an issue.
