I have a 2016 Tech Plus with the standard 19x8 Alloy Wheels and the surface is peeling off. I can take my thumb nail and scratch the coating off.

Anyone else experience this? If so was the issue covered by the warranty?

Assuming you don't have any visible signs of external damage causing the peel, it should be an easy warranty repair. If it is happening on more than one wheel and is happening on more than one side of the car, it should be easy.

 

I had similar problems and got the wheel replaced under warranty.
