Which 2015 MDX between these 2?
So I have been on the lookout for a 2015 Elite MDX. Looking for a specific Color combo and I came across two cars and not sure which one should I chose
Option 1
2015 MDX Elite - 75k Kms (~46k miles) - Has a rear accident reported which Carfax states as 'Moderate Damage' - Listed for around 26k
Option 2
2015 MDX Elite - 205k Kms (~127k miles) - No accident reported but the mileage seems high - Listed for around 16k
Option 2 seems good value but I am not sure of the high mileage, I am not a DIY person. My running would be around 12k kms annually and would keep the car for atleast the next 5 years.
Option 1 is tempting due to very low running considering the age.
Not looking to trade in my 2011 but will be selling it in coming months once covid19 restrictions lift up.
Super confused, please share your thoughts. Thanks

My choice would be neither. However, if I had to make a pick, I'd take the high mileage. If Carfax says moderate damage for the other one, that alone would turn me off. What Carfax doesn't tell you was what was damaged, who made the repairs, what part, etc. were used to make the repairs. The only way I would buy a wrecked vehicle would be to have it certified, or independently inspected completely by a non-partisan shop that specializes in inspections. Otherwise you are assuming it is road worthy and safe. Same would be true for the higher mileage vehicle. But the worry would be for different reasons.

Agreed in moderate damage who knows what that means. Could be nothing. But could be things down the road in 5 years if don't by not a great shop
As as far as the higher mileage, Im a person that if it justifies the price then ok. But I would only consider it if it was a 1 owner and dealer maintained and no accidents

So, the high mileage one has been sold and as per feedback received here and on other forum will skip the accident one. Thanks for all the feedback, will wait for the next one.
