Winter Rims: TPMS or not

I've been getting mixed messages on this one. Can anyone on here confirm whether or not I can have 2 sets of TPMS sensors without the need to reprogram them every tire change.

I currently haven't installed sensors in my winters. I hate the fact that I can't turn off VSA but it's a small price to pay for not having to reprogram the sensors.

A friend of mine confirmed that his Accord has to be reprogrammed every tire change but is it the same on the TSX? I have a 2012.

Hi,
I just can confirm my installation.
I installed TPMS from 2010 RDX (42753-STK-A03) on my winter setup for 2010 TSX V6. Sensors works and read perfectly. NO REPROGRAMMING NEEDED !!!

Wheels: 17" from 2004 TSX.
TPMS: 2010 RDX.
Tires: Dunlop Graspic.

Regards.

No re-programing necessary.

I just went to a Honda Dealership and Brought some TPMS sensors from them that would fit my 3G TL (same part #) and they work like a charm. It took a few miles of driving on them before they started reading pressure correctly.

As long as the TPMS you have are compatible with your car, then it'll read it right after a little driving. Some RDX sensors have worked with 09/10 TSX's but I don't know if they work with the 2011+. Don't know if anyone's tested it yet.

The 42753-STK-A03 and 42753-STK-A02 and 42753-STK-A04 are the sensors that the MDX/RDX/Pilot/08 TSX uses...which work on the 2009 and 2010 TSX.

The 09+ TSX stock sensors are 42753-TL2-A51 or the A52. These should be the same for the 2011 and 2012 but not 100% sure.

Schrader makes cloneable sensors that can be programmed to match your originals so the car wouldn't know the difference between your summers or winters. I know some Canadian Tire stores sell them up here in Canada.
