what size and options?

ok.. I'm on stock rims (17's). Even before the I bought the car I knew I was going to change them, b/c I think they're pretty ugly. Anyways.. going to keep the 17's for winter use (w/ the stock tires) and use an aftermarket set the other 8 months of the year. So the most logical choice sounded like an 18" to me.. b/c I don't want any serious loss in ride quality. All the sites seem to recommend 235/45/18.. as the default size even though the option 18's still run 225/45/18. Per the diameter measurements 225/45/18 are actually slightly larger in Diameter than the 225/50/17's, so I have no clue why they'd even mention 235mm. So first choice is 18's or 19's and tire size..

3rd choice is the TPMS meter which is somewhat out of my expertise. I check my tire pressure pretty often.. so I could care less about TPMS. But I certainly don't want a ridiculous warning light going being displayed 24/7. So is the TPMS a must? Or will I be shelling out $100+ just to keep a light off?

Last opinion TSW Snetterton or Enkei EKM3? I am a fan of the lip you'll find on the TSW.

just to let you know that to have decent lip size on the TSW you will have to get 9.5" width rim on 8.5" lip is very small I had them on my last car. I would get Enkei EKM3

As I look the picture it really appears the 18x8 will barely show any real lip.. so maybe the extra $ on the TSW's really isn't worth it.. ?? I believe the Enkei's are just a tiny bit cheaper..

this is what the 18X8 look like on a VW.. Still looking for a decent pic on a stock 2009/10 TSX.

was just typing that as you posted.. quite a disappointment. That staggered look is so hot.. but apparently it's reserved for RWD cars that will support 255mm or so..

i really like the tsws...AND the enkeis.

i think 18 is a nice compromise size. if i ever pull the trigger, im getting 18s myself. THAT BEING SAID. 19s fill out the gap quite nicely too. So its personal preference really. some guys with 19+ too dont look too shabby either!

go for the enkeis and take some pics

In addition the Enkei package would be a little more expensive.. (particularly because of the TPMS installation that goes through Tire rack vs. Discount Tire Direct. Pretty big difference...

Also I believe the TSW are about 2lbs lighter each. I'm almost inclined to search out the 2 rims and view them in person vs. using computer picture to make a decision.

You will def get an annoying light every day if you dont get the TPMS. I had that problem when Discount Tire installed the wrong TPMS for me. I had to move my steering wheel to hide the light from my field of vision until they got it fixed.

I like both of those wheels. Never had a set from either manufacturer though.

So whats with the TPMS install again? I bought Acura TPMS from Tire Rack in 2010 and I bought some from Discount Tire this year and both times they were $28 a piece with no install charge.

As for the TPMS install.. my quote from Discount Tire Direct is $28 per wheel. My quote for TireRack is $86 per wheel.. (so $112 vs $344). I could not have them install.. but then I have to buy the 4 MDX TPMS's for around $80 or so.. install them.. then mount and balance.
