Sheeeeit. Dial in that EDFC on 1 and it will bruise your kidneys and knock the fillings out of your teeth.

It's backwards from most other adjustables in that 1=stiff and...10?...20? = soft.

woot (dot) com sells everything...
i picked up a 17 foot little giant ladder from them for 129 instead of over 300 bucks...with 5 dollar shipping.

Yes, unless you've got kids and a wife and drive a lot and need the better fuel economy...selling the corolla instead was a great move!

Congrats!

I just realized the TEIN'S go further than 16 clicks...this morning I adjusted from the furthest point to the left (soft) and wow...the car is so smooth and soft now. I like stiff for spirited driving, but for practical every day use it's amazing you can be at 1 tight finger gap and be as soft as stock height. Tein is the bomb.

damn, whoever did your springs really stripped that nut off. don't remember having that much trouble when i installed my springs on my old TSX. i thought coilovers would be a bit easier. Did you take to those mechanic bays on base? just wondering since that guy was in ACUs

Ummm....

WTF were you doing? Why would you have your scissor jack in there? And left over parts? You may not want to be driving your car if that's the case.

But seriously, y'all need to get a factory service manual or a subscription to alldatadiy.com

The cutoff wheel on the bench is kinda scary, unless you needed that to cut bump stops. That getup with the scissor jack is a good way to lose a finger, hand, etc.

Were there no spring compressors at this *shop*?

Have you ever heard about "My Buddy"? He's the guy who flies all over the world fvcking stuff up on other people's vehicles.

Dude, please, for everyone's sake, don't drive your car until you get it squared away.

I think he said they had to cut the top of the stock strut.

Isn't this a lease? You planning on buying it out after your lease?

Oh, I see it now. The bumpstop comment was tongue-in-cheek, they're HD foam, just use a razor blade. I couldn't come up with anything else that should have been needed.

Man, Tish, next time if that happens, an impact can remove the nut without being dependant on the allen hole in the strut piston. The gun turns at a higher rpm than the piston can.

Dude, hope you get this fixed...quick.

hahaha, o the jack.. we couldn't get the fork off the bottom of the stock struts so we used the jack to push the wheel down pushing the strut out of the fork.

Thats a spring compressor right next to the saw.. and yes we had to cut the top of the stock shock off to get the bolt off to get the mount on the top of the spring for the tein's .. and naturally acura ( any of them in the area ) wouldn't be able to fix out boo boo till monday, so I might as well attempt some more tonight / this weekend.

No, its not a lease, actually only owe about 15 on it since I was thinking about selling it I kept throwing a lot of money at it.

All I know is i'm in a world of shit lol, and I am not driving it the vehicle is fucked beyond belief in terms of noise and loose parts its sitting at the shop just waiting to be lifted up and gone at again..

Which I can't even get the rearstrut bolts loose.. so I don't know how I'm going to manage to get the rear struts off.. but they look A LOT easier then the front struts lol

Hope everything works out for you, soon.

Dude...I think the jack under the car is normally better but obviously that can't be done on a lift. Please be careful...there aren't that many bolts to come off to be left with extra ones! Figure out what you forgot!

and btw...

you are LUCKY acura decided to give you an access panel to your rear struts...us 3G TL owners have to remove the entire rear seat and rear shelf just to get at the rear tops.
