Staggered Setup On!

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share my updates.

I had 19"s 5zigen sc3000's i been posting on "new tsx, upcoming mods"

I upgraded to 20"s, shooting for the VIP look.

got my lip spoiler on and still waiting on my roof spoiler.

Here's a few pics
EXE Image Wheels by Axis
Front: 20x8.5 +35 225/35/20 2.5 inch lip
Back: 20x9.5 +40 245/35/20 3.5 inch lip

Overall diameter is .5 inches taller in front and 1 inch taller in back. I plan to get coilivers in the next couple months.
I will need to roll my fenders as well. I cant a finger in the back at all.

let me know what you guys think

Thanks!

The old wheels (new ones stick out 10mm in front and 18mm in back)
Currently selling this set BTW, perfect condition

Nice.

You mentioned the need to roll your fender, I assumed there's a rubbing issue. Are you getting the coilover in order to raise the clearance ?

Actually, my setup is the most extreme you could go without doing any fender modification. Theres no rubbing issues unless i have 4+ people in my car. I will roll my rear fenders just to ensure theres no rubbing.

I plan to get coilovers to lower it even more. I currently have S-tech's so i want a little more tuck on the wheels for a cleaner look. definitely a lip kit as well.

couple more pics

I dont think you could really tell with an underbody shot.
The only way you can tell is the lip of the wheel's concaveness. the lip on my rear is over an inch depper and spokes are more concave. I used my phone to take pictures, but ill def use a nicer camera for cleaner pics.

Nice, i'm starting to like the 2nd Gen's more and more, i prefer a little more tire so i'd probably go with 19's with no lip but its a definite improvement.

I've done so much research to get the right stance.. The wheels ur thinking of would sit exactly 9mm more in than mine front and back.
Still pretty flush

I do think you should have gotten wider tires though. I don't like how they angle inward. I would have gotten at least 245's on the front and 255's or even 265's if they'd fit on the rear.

I guess it's not everyone's taste. But I'm going for a VIP look. Since my wheels are very flush I have to stretch my tires in order to clear the fender. And it's also a VIP look. I still plan to drop it and get the mugen kit.

$1550 shipped with tires. Tires are 95% left in back and 90% on front. I measured it with a tread tester. Wheels are basically new.
A steal.. Let me know. I got couple offers on hold already

very nice dude... I wonder if the Australian model (i'm from australia) is any different in size compare to the American model, because a lot of people tell me that it is pretty much impossible to get that large offset at the back without rolling the guard, and that was only 20 x 9, 9.5 is just insane D:

So jealous! I've already ordered my wheels even though i'll probably be able to change the order, but i'm not 100% sure if i should get that staggered look, i'm worried about rubbing issues =/

But anyhow that is a very very nice staggered set up thumbs up !

Sorry do you mind posting another 2 pics similar to the 2nd pic here?

like a lower angle, right up close to the side of the front and back wheels so we can investigate the dish size up close?

thanks

Thanks. i havent rolled my fenders. and rear wheels clears it exactly. I have no issues rubbing. if you do get 9.5 wide, dont get an offset any lower than 40 unless you will roll your fenders. also, dont get tires wider than 245 either. tires need to stretch inwards so it clears the fender.

damn man, too bad i've already placed the order for 20x8.5 front +43, 20 x8.5 back +43, i wanted 9 at the back but was worried if it would clear or not... so what tire should i use for 8.5? doesn't really matter if it's 235 or 245 right? but 245 i've got more choices on 35 profile...

It's funny how you get used to a look after seeing it for a while. I'm not anti 20's, just what *can* be a hugely increased weight of them.

Mods are like crack, it all starts with springs, then wheels, thennnnn your brakes look small, thennnnn........
