Springs + Rear Sway Bar... Yea or Neigh?

What do you guys think? I am getting my Eibach Pro Kit on this weekend. Should I go with the Progress rear sway bar as well, or would that stiffen too much to the point where the back end could slide out on sharp turns, or aggressive highway driving?

Haha... Well yeah, I agree. I would like it to break loose when I want it to, but I just want to make sure the wheels are gonna stick when I want them to. Plus, not ready to beat this shit out of my 2 week old $1,200 tires just yet.

In other words, I don't want to be going 60 mph on a tight on/off ramp and have the back end slide out unexpectedly.

your mission is to find out how big or how thick the FSB is.

balance between FSB and RSB is key.

I'll tell you what, the 6MT 04-06 TL's RSB is 19mm thick. and its only 40 dollars at the dealer.
if you want to do some experimenting without losing to much coin, either pick up the 04-06 6MT RSB or the 07-08 TL-S RSB.

the TL-S RSB is a little thicker than the 04-06 6MT.

With springs on this car, you won't need the sway bar. Now if you had a Porsche, Audi, or BMW then its a different story.

Stock TSX sway bar is 17mm, Progress is 22mm. So you will definitely feel the difference, not so much on straight and even road surface, but on uneven and during cornering.

I left mine stock as thicker RSB will make the ride too bumpy for my kids sitting at the back seat.

I have S-techs with the Progress Sway Bar. I love it. Makes a big difference in driving experience. Yes you have to drill holes on it, its not hard. Plus I plan to leave it on if I sell the car.

You can make the Progress bar "Plug n Play". All you need to do is go to your harware store and buy some additional hardware that is the OEM specs. This way you do not have to enlarge the holes.

There is a thread on here or .com that has all the specifications of the hardware you need to make this bar plug and play. Stupid progress makes it so difficult.

The Progress RSB is a great addition to any vehicle, especially one that is going to be lowered. It will help reduce body sway and neutralize the understeer prone to FWD vehicles.

Is it the same RSB for both 4cylinder and V6? Thanks!

Is it still mandatory to replace the end-link kit when doing the sway bar?

@kowloon - Your list of mods says you are on springs too. Do you also have a camber kit or did you even need one? I'm starting to think I might go springs for now until I find a reason to go big with my suspension. Thanks.
