Replacement tires for OEM setup

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for some opinion on replacement tires for the OEM Michelin's on the car.

Anyone have a recommendation for a particular brand or series? I plan on keeping the standard rims on there (yes I know, blasphemy) so they should be the same size as the stock ones?

My leading choice so far are the Yokohama AVID ENVigor, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....toModClar=Base.

But I am always up for some other opinions.

Thanks everyone.

the yoko AVID EnVigors will be a great choice. I still have the michelins on my car, but looking forward to replacing them with the Yoko's. Have had Yoko's on all my cars in the last 10 years (Volvos, Jeeps, Nissans) and you cant go wrong with them. Usually wear well and priced right without giving up handling or traction.

I've got the Envigors on my summer 18's so it's a plus one setup.

I've been very pleased with them so far. They're pretty quiet and they've got an amazingly outstanding treadwear rating. Obviously outright traction takes a hit but if you're looking for that you should be looking for a dedicated summer high performance tire instead of a grand-touring all-season like the Envigor.
