Proper tire selection for staggered wheels

Need some help guys. I'm getting some staggered wheels to replace the razrs. New set up will be

Front Wheels: 19" x 8.5" +35
Rear Wheels: 19" x 9.5" +40

Should I run 245/35/19 tires all around? Or should I run a 235/35 up front and 245/35 at the back? Just trying to keep the set up as close to stock specifications as possible. From what I've seen a 245/35 is closest to stock. Would I need to worry about rubbing with a 245/35 up front with a +35 offset? Also would running a 245/35 all around look awkward since effective sidewall heights would be different when mounted to wheels with different widths? Thanks in advance for the help!

*asked a similar question in my progress thread, but figured I'd get better/more responses in the actual wheel/tire subforum.

Swarlos, you gotta run staggered tires in this configuration. I think you can run 245/35 up front and a 255/40 in the rear simply cuz the 9.5" width will stretch the 255s and look proportional with the 245s up front. FYI.. my new wheels are 19x8.5" +45 running 245/40 up front, and 19x9.5"+42 hoping to run 275/35 in the rear. My rear fenders are already rolled.

Thanks Ben. Guess I'll be ordering some 255/35 for the rears then. My wheels actually came with brand new 245/35 in the back. Going to swap those to the fronts and be on my way. wow 275 sounds pretty crazy. Cant wait to see how it turns out.

Anybody on here running a 255/35 on their 9.5 wide rear wheel? Would like to see if I can get away with a half roll, rather than a full roll. A full roll makes me worry. (ie paint crack and rust...)

All you need is 1/2 roll. But that, I mean just the mid section area of the fender where the tire can come into contact. A full roll is too time consuming and can distort the overall fender shape if not done right. Paint can and will crack regardless of the roll if it's not prepped properly.

Dave, they're gonna be up for sale once I mount the new wheels. But there are a few more things I will need to do before I mount the new set up. Was thinking $650 obo for the razrs with tires. Probably gonna steal the tpms sensors tho and use them on my new set up. So those will not be included.

Double checked with my tire guy today and was told the 245/35 up front and 255/35 rear would be the best set up if I want to keep stock diameters. Both were within 1% diff. Now gotta shop around for a good deal on some 255/35 hankook ventus v12 evos. If anyone knows of a good deal, point me in the right direction

ooh i want them so bad hahaha. i wish you were further up north cause shipping would be a bitch for them. btw, if you reuse TPMS i think you need to get a rebuild kit of whatever with the nut and washer, those can only be used once i think

225/40 front and 255/35 has a .3% difference but that might be too small on the front. If you're unsure on the 245/35 rubbing with the +35 offset have them mount 1 tire and drive the car around.

Thanks Abe. Actually already bought some 255/35s 2 weeks ago. Just got all wheels and tires mounted today. Unless you want to slam the car, 245s fit fine in the front. there is no way to slam and tuck the fronts. Its not even an issue of them rubbing, they just wont fit within the front fenders. Of course theres always the option of cambering out and stretch tires, but I didnt want to do either of those things.

Yeah I see what you mean, the problem is the offset. I've done 19x9.5 +45 245/35 fronts and 19x10.5 +50 275/30/19 rears on a customers car but it was only lowered about an inch and the wheels didn't tuck.
