Thumbs up My first review... ISC Coilovers from XLR8

I've done a decent amount of mods on my TSX, and this is my first review of any of them.

After researching extensively for coilovers, as I've done before all of my mods, I decided on the ISC coils from XLR8. I like how they came fully assembled so it was just a straight swap out from stock. Also had options as far as spring rates as well as 32 damper settings.
Compared to other brands, to me, the ISC were much more bang for the buck.

I decide on the street/comfort, since I wanted to keep the ride as close to stock as possible, but wanted a slight drop.

Since I've never installed coils, I had a few questions and the customer service from Joshua at XLR8 was awesome!

I finally got a chance over the weekend to install them. Took me 2 days because it was a million degrees outside (I F'IN HATE THE SOUTH). Heat aside, the coils we really easy to install. Everything matched up perfectly and just bolted right up. PITA part was removing all of the stock components! Especially the rears.

I ended up lowering the fronts a little too much, so had to adjust them. Raising and lowering the coils couldn't be easier! Took less than 2 minutes to raise both sides!

I'm lowered about 1" in the rear and 1.2" in the front. So far, I'm loving the coils. Still finding the damper adjustment i like best, but the ride quality is great. And the handling is awesome! Handling is SO much tighter and the steering wheel is alot firmer as well.

Would definately recommend to anyone looking for coils!

I sprayed them down with Break Free CLP before I installes them, which may have helped. Combined with being brand new, but either way it was super easy and took no time at all. I was expecting to have to use he-man strength to get the coils to turn. I didn't even take the wheel off and if my arm could fit into the wheel well I may not have even needed to jack the car up.

Holy crap that's easy, I have to take my wheels off before I adjust them cuz there's no room. Also it takes he man strength to do it lol.

Thanks for posting up a review. Glad to hear more feedback on these coilovers; we've been getting a lot of positive feedback across the board.

What is the spring rates on the street/comfort setup? I was actually looking into these coils, considering they're rather affordable.

How many miles does the coilover last before a rebuild or repair?

It should last about 60-80k before a rebuild depending on driving conditions.

Update

Been about month and a half since I installed the coils. Still holding strong with NO issues whatsoever. I drive about 200 miles a week, about 50/50 highway and city. The city roads here are an f'in disaster! To give you an idea, ALOT of side streets I couldn't even drive down when I had my Mazda Cx-7, so it's def out of the question with this car.

Couple weeks ago road was flooded so I had no choice. Hit a wicket pot hole! HARD!! Heard the rear drivers side bottom out, hard. Checked everything when I got home and everything was still perfect and all bolts still torqued. Didn't even knock anything out of alignment. (SPC 3 rear arms installed).

Very happy with my decision.
