Longevity of stock Micheline Pilots

I just picked up my new 2010 i4 base. What a sweet ride. I'm coming from a 94 Civic EX, 98 Accord EX-L, and a 2005 Ody. You can imagine that the TSX is like driving a Ferrari for me.

I noticed that the stock tires are Micheline Pilots. I know this is supposed to be a pretty good tire with good handling. However, I've heard that it's a pretty soft compound.

What kind of mileage can I expect before replacing them. I drive 100 miles roundtrip each day to work.

I just turned 30k miles yesterday and without a tread depth indicator, I'd say I have maybe 4/32" left.

I have 40K km (25K miles) on mine, still lots of thread left ~5/32. Will replace them with winter radials next winter.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I don't have to worry about it for a few years. I just "suffer" from a very inquisitive mind. With anything new, I like to absorb as much info as I can.

Tire Rack reviews for these tires show that 50K is not uncommon.

I've just replaced the wife's 05 Accord LX sedan it as it just hit 2/32 tread. There was about 55k on the clock. I went with some General Altimax. Not a bad bang-for-the-buck tire imo.

As far as the TSX, my rear left tire went out on me while I unknowingly drove over some metal debris. I guess you can't fault the manufactuerer for that, but the piece of metal was a good size of a fork-tip I'd say.
