As the pictures will show you, Wheel gap is just to much for me to look at every day. I have 18" rims which i chose because the pothole situation in boston is horrible and i wanted the better ride. So basically im contimplating getting Springs or coilovers. The price difference is substantial so i want to hear from the guys with just springs and how there ride is and how the struts are holding up with mileage and stuff. And then want to hear from the guys with coilovers and some pros and cons of both. Thanks!

Coilovers are your answer. I hear Tein can drop you fairly low and still have a stock-ish ride. Height's adjustable too.

I have the Tein SS, pricey....yes. But well worth it man. Wife doesn't even know Im dropped. She proably wonders why I drive so slow over speed bumps, but for now....she knows nothing. Fully adjustable, well worth the money. Haven't heard much from the Megan's. Someone else can chime in on those. Let us know what you decide to do. But you def need it. Monster trucking is def not what these tsx's were made for.

Im in the process of remodeling my kitchen too. Not fun, worst part is having your house in shambles from one room. Dust and crap everywhere. Good luck with it all. Kitchen remodels make the whole house feel new though.
As far as coils vs springs. Coils are 1000 times better. In my opinion springs will give you a decent drop and look. But the ride is no where near the ride of a coilover system. I had progress springs on my old civic. Was great for a while until the ride began to really bother me. Coilovers being adjustable for height and ride stiffness is really nice to have. But springs will give you the drop...

Love renovating hate the mess i creates.....Thanks for your input maybe coilovers are the way to go considering how easy they are to install i figure springs will be 250 and 200 to install so for a couple hundred more ill just go with the megans that everyone speaks highly about. any other input is welcome

i had tein s techs and was completely happy with those. id consider getting s techs again instead of coils and use the rest of the money for 1-2 more mods

A good spring and shock combo will get you the drop you're looking for as well, and not as expensive as coilovers.

Let me help you!
Close your eyes whenever you walk up to your car while you save money. When you modify your suspension, you want it to be done right the first time. You don't want to go the cheapest route and then not be happy with the looks, or worse yet, the ride. Also, remember your suspension has a major say in how your car behaves in evasive maneuvers (in case you have to suddenly steer around something).
Most of the users here, if lowered, are on some sort of coilover system. You can lower the car to the exact height you want, rather than having to pick between springs that drop you certain amounts only. If you change wheel setups in the future and the gap changes, or need to raise your car for the snow, you can do it easily if you have coilovers.
You can go with a good spring/shock combo, but you have to do your research to see which ones match together the best. Most people who go this route only want a small drop, such as the a-spec set.
You should be able to get a comfortable ride with either route...you just need to decide what's important to you.
As for Megan versus Tein...I haven't heard much about the former. More people use Tein, including me. If you choose Megan, be sure to write a review here after a month of driving on it.

megans are a good deal for the price and have more adjustability than the tein ss (separate spring preload and height adjustment). But look up the suspension offerings for the 8th gen accord. It broadens your options.
Coilovers are nice because the shock/spring combination compliment each other.
Lowering springs are an inexpensive way to get that aggressive look you probably want. Bear in mind the lowering springs brings premature wear to the oem shocks.

@socalitrojan you just brought something to my attention i didnt even think of. The snow. I use the stock rims and snow tires for the winter and it would be horrible to have a lowered car trying to get around in the snow, especially after this winter. Not to mention the fact that i plow during the winter and need a way to get to the plow truck. Thanks for the insight guys i will definitley go with coilovers and write a nice review when i do so. I can get the Megans with a camber kit for around 900 its just tough to swallow the price but the Wheel gap is driving me insane. Keep the replies coming
thanks guys

As SoCaliTrojan said, you want to do it right the first time. I'm still debating whether I should go with spring/coil overs or get the whole suspension kit. But I think I will go with the whole suspension kit route. Rush's post got the Honda Euro Sport Suspension Kit and he said it rides very smooth and comfortable. The drop is about 20mm on front and rear. Here's his thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ension+Install
Although, the suspension is only available in Europe. You can buy it from Lings.com. Here are the part numbers:
Sports suspension, M/T, 2.4
08W60-TL3-600A
Sports suspension, A/T 2.4
08W60-TL3-600B
There's also a Mugen suspension kit: http://www.nengun.com/mugen/sports-suspension-accord
GL! :-)

Definitely check out BC's or Megans! We sell tons of these for the new Accord and they are exponentially more popular than the teins for the platform for a reasons.
- Teins have limited height adjustment, we've had several customers sell their SS's for BC's, etc.
Megan's seem to sometimes have an old bad reviews on them, but there reviews in the past years have been great. Definitely an option you should look at. We've even had recent customers review the EZ's extremely positively who are older, mature drivers who are retired. BC's and Megan's are definitely great options.

$212.99 for springs shipped from an ebay seller. I would have paid to have them put on but got quotes in the $400 range so I researched a bit and did it myself. But If I had a grand to spend insted on just a couple hundred I would have went with coilovers so I could raise it a bit when the snow hits hard like it did this past winter.

Alot of people run spacers so yeah if you want to push your wheels out a bit go for it. Fairly inexpnsive mod that anyone who can change a tire can perform. Our stocks are +55 and just recently we see HondoGermany effectively going +20. That's up to 35mm of width to play with.
