H&R Springs

Just ordered the H&R Springs. Getting them installed tomorrow so I will post pics. Really excited to see how they look. Haven't really seen anyone with them in the forums (don't know if that's a bad thing), and I really like the specs. Should pair nicely with my HFP 19" wheels Ive actually had Eibach and H&R in the past and always have been happy with both manufacturers. Should have the wheels balanced and mounted next Tuesday.

Springs Installed. Before and After Pics

OK. They are installed and all I have to say is WOW. Everything I expected. The ride quality is amazing! I barely notice a difference from stock other than its a little stiffer which is awesome! NO bouncy feeling and its not rough going over bumps. Seems to absorb everything very well. Ill get right to the pics.

There you have it. I know Eibach is amazing, but I honestly think H&R is right up there in quality in ride and appearance. I will report back shortly to see how the ride is after break in.

I think my 19" will feel right at home come this Tuesday!

I got them installed at Eastside Muffler in Palmdale. They are really good guys over there. I have been going to them for years. If you are interested, call over there and ask for Angel or Gabe. Tell them Scott sent you with the TSX. They have great prices and the work is clean!

What did they charge you to install the springs? Why didn't you decide to do it yourself?

any updated wheel pics? Very interested to see how it turns out. Lowering it was a huge improvement in aggressiveness!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I couldn't agree more with the change in appearance of the car. Looks much more aggressive from every angle!

bonjyng, I got them at a tuner shop out here in Palmdale, CA. They only charged $120 to install, and I got the springs for $180. Took them about two hours. I believe H&R only has one application option, and here is the link to the ones I got:
http://hrsprings.com/scripts/appguid...CURA%20|%20TSX
They are a 1.3" in the front and 1.2" in the back. The ride is amazing, still riding very smooth. Anyone in Cali will agree the roads suck, and these babies absorb them VERY well, and I might even go as far to say the ride is smoother than my last set of Eibach's on my 06 TSX....

DerwoodEE, I thought about doing it myself, but for the deal I got on the install price, it was much easier to just get it done and watch them deal with getting those stock springs out ( they had a tough time with the back driver side spring)

rockstar143, I am just waiting on the tires. I got the Toyo Proxes directly from Toyo through my work and just waiting for them to arrive, should be here today As soon as those babies come in, I am heading right over to get them mounted and balanced, and installed. Should have them on no later than Saturday, and I can assure you pics will be posted

Thanks for everyone's help (especially DerwoodEE), I got a lot of questions answered here and my upgrade process has been much smoother. Really good community here!

Oddly enough, that was the same spring that gave me the most trouble. Don't know what the hell it is about that one.

Yeah bro, took them seriously 45 minutes to get that one out, with two of them tugging away.. There is no way in hell I was going to get that out.. so glad I had it done.

$120 to install springs on this app is very reasonable, even then, it's good to have fatass friends to stand on the studs in order to wrench it out of there.

The shop is called Eastside Muffler. I don't think they have an online store but here is the link to the site:

http://www.eastsidemufflers.com/

Just call and ask for Angel. Tell him Scott with the 09 TSX they just lowered sent you. They will take good care of you.

looks good do those springs do the same thing with the camber like the eibachs? I know my front wheels lean out a bit and the rear in...its really minor it has no effect on my car tho

Thanks patcracks, I have a little camber in the back but the front looks good. Once I get the new wheels installed, I am going to get an alignment and keep an eye out for uneven wear. quick question for you, did you get your roof scoop from Ebay? I saw one on there and the car they had pics of looked like your car? If so, how do you like the quality, they are selling it for around $150.

yea the seller asked if they could use my pics...the quality is great the paint is perfect and it looks awesome. The thing comes as a straight piece which I just aligned with the glass so it has a little bend too it. I suggest using a bit of glass epoxy on each end only my passenger side has wanted to straighten itself out...it stuck on there good tho it aint goin nowhere.

Problems

Hey,

I just put some 18'' enkeis on, and am ready to drop it this week.

Before I do though, is anyone who has already dropped the 09 tsx having problems with any rubbing/bottoming out/etc in any situations?

I live in the northeast and am kinda tentative to drop it due to the fact that we have lots of bad roads as well as crappy winters.

Depends on the look you are going for. With 18's, either will give you a good look, but obviously , the lower you go, the higher chance you have of possibly rubbing/bottoming out. I went with H&R with the 19's because it wasn't too aggressive, but a little more than the Eibach's. I live in LA and trust me bro, our roads are pretty bad, and so far, even when hitting a pot hole, the springs absorb it really good, feels like stock. I will have my HFP 19's on this week, so well see how it handles then and I will update.
