G35 oem rims installed!

18x8 +30 offset
225/40/18
5x114.3

tires are stretched. no rubbing. rims are flushed

paid $350 for rims only. just reused my old tires.

rims are curbed and has scratches so i will be sanding it down and respraying them with gunmetal and a couple layers of clear coat for a shiny look

i still need to buy acura center caps

its weird...your wheel gap looks pretty large considering your on s-techs. Dont get me wrong your car still sits like its lowered, I just remember the s-techs giving a larger drop than that. Maybe cause your on 18s where as many of the other people on this forum have 19's?

What do you think?

however, i think ima still stick with 19's, jsut cuz i think it fits the car, but urs look great!

ttk5, I think that photo was taken immediately after installation (outside the garage). Look at the other photos and you'll see the gap is much smaller.

BTW, defcon, as noted in the other thread, our car has a center bore of 64.1mm, Infiniti G35 has a center bore of 66.1 mm. It's upto you if you wish to buy hubcentric rings for this rim as you wil be buying another set of 19" later. Nice job none the less

Im not gonna lie I probably love wheels more than defcon does..I just dont have the money to act on it. I look at wheels online everyday and Im gonna take time off school to work full time in the summer because I want 20's with step lip so bad ahaha. dont hate me

Oh, and dont paint the rims...silver looks good just the way it is and I bet it will look much cleaner than having them gun metal...

i like the alloy look right now but it kinda clashes with the car in contrast. it needs to be a bit darker.

i picked up in san gabriel. i didnt even plan on installing them but the owner had a hook up to do $10 mount/balance each wheel.

now i have to find some time to get rid of the curb rashes/scratches and do some painting

yup. honestly i really had no knowledge about offsets until i put my old rims on and just saw that it was sunken in. i did some research on how offsets worked and came to the conclusion of using +30. another member here had +32 which gave me some confidence to run +30.

Not too bad but those rims are so played out. Theyve been whored out by every Nissan and Infiniti possible.

Your old set up was better

I think the 2G needs 20's to fill out the wheel wells nicely

hahaha.

i like the five spokes a lot. unfortunately the other 2 five spokes rims are bent badly. i need to find a rim repair shop that can straighten them out.

no not yet. i havent searched for them yet. let me know if you find any. the owner recommended the getting the acura caps from a 92-93 integra 16 inch wheels. last time i check, theyre $40 off ebay.

if those dont fit, im just going to get the infiniti caps and sand off the logo

also post pics of your car with the rims, im curious to see it. what do you think of the offset? better than stock huh?

i dont think the infiniti emblem will just sand off. its pressed into the cap, so sanding the cap down will lead to holes in the cap.

no official pics yet. I in the process of refinishing them and painting them silver.

Winter setup test-fit (phone pics), got these for 250 w/ good tires:

the fit is good, clears brembos and sits pretty flush. equal to running a 15mm spacer with the stock acura rims.

thoughts on the color? too bright for my ssm? should i go darker? I didnt put the clear coat on yet so it wouldnt be a big deal to switch to a gunmetal color. I also only painted 2 rims so far.[/QUOTE]

Winters are on finally. Well worth the 300 if you ask me. I personally wouldn't be able to tell what kind of rims they are if I saw them on another car.
