Three Wheelin'
Looks great.
However, the tires are too big for the car, 245/35.19 will be better. As of now, the 245/45/19 means it is almost 1.8" greater in diameter than stock (6.62% difference).

I have 245/40/19 tires on my RDX wheels and I was lowered on Tein springs for about year as well with no issues. The 245/40/19 is a little larger than OEM diameter, but it should be as the wheel wells on these cars is huge and is perfectly accommodating to the 245/40/19 setup.

Nice, you brought this thread back to life, the last post before you was last year. I had the 245/35/19 with RDX wheels set up and was lowered on Tein springs for almost 2 years and with no issues. I did replace the RDX and replaced it with RJ Legends wheels with the same 245/35/19. Im extremely happy with the Hankook V12 Evo and decided to stick with the same brand & size. Over all i was happy with the RDX wheels on my initial set up, but to be honest the RDX wheels are a bit too heavy IMO, still looks good though and noticed no effect in MPG. Comparing the RDX with the RJ Legends i dd notice a big difference in handling response (w/10mm-F & 15mm-R spacers).
Just a note, i decided on the 35 series for accuracy being closest when it comes to speedo reading, and after all it is what our cars brand name is all about, Acura for Accuracy. Everything else is preference based on your taste, driving habit, and experience.
LOOKS: i like the looks since most members in this forum have the same size set up for their CU2's. Lowering, offset, and/or spacers should do to fill in that wheel well of course.
FEEL: if you are a sports car enthusiast, the feel of a good lower profile tire is much closer to as real as it gets.
COMFORT: A 35 series IMO is "Fair", and if you really want that comfort feel, then i suggest in keeping that 50/55 series (stock) on your ride, So by others opinions and thought to be above "fair", then a 40 series would do without compromising your taste in looks and have that performance feel depending on tire brand. IMO its not a big of a difference since i have a 40 series on another set up. Its the tire brand and type that plays a big factor in comfort and performance. (i.e Nitto INVO’s VS NT05's, same tire size, one will give you comfort more than performance and vice versa)
HAZARDS: It is all about luck and driving experience, I chose the 35 series since there are no concerns in potholes in my area of commute. Regardless of 35 or 40 series, it all depends on the size of pothole and the speed you hit it. If the main concern is potholes in damaging your wheels on a low profile tires, then i suggest to get a back up spare wheel so you can have that peace of mind.
My main preference in order is: The ACCURACY with the LOOK & FEEL.
I like LED vs LCD TV's....Whats your preference ???
