Water dripping from bottom of car
On a few occasions recently, I noticed water dripping from the bottom of my car right behind the front wheels a little off center toward the passenger side when I parked my car in the garage in the evening. I understand there can be condensation from the evaporator when the AC is on. However, on my way home, the outside temperature was about 54F and I set the climate control to AUTO at 70F. So, I didn't expect the AC to be on. At the same time, it was not just a few drops of water. Right after I parked my car, I could see water dripping at about 1 drop per second. After 15 to 30 minutes, the water dripping stopped and I could see a trail of water 3-4 inches wide from the front wheels to my rear bumper.
When I took my car to the dealer for my first A1 service last November, I didn't notice this water dripping problem. But I did ask them why I could feel cool air coming out of the vent after the heat was on for a while when the outside temperature was about 54F and I set the climate control to AUTO at 70F. They said they checked the climate control system and there was no problem. The explained that this could be due to the sun sensor and I needed to set the temperature a few degrees higher. However, this cool air issue happened even at night. So, I don't know what they will say if I take my car in for this water dripping issue.
Does any one of you have similar issue?

when the climate control system is on "auto", your A/C compressor will cycle on and off if the outside temperature is not below freezing.
Here's what I do to avoid running the A/C compressor when not needed: 1) Push "auto" and then 2) push the "a/c" button in order to display "a/c off". everything else will be on "auto" except the a/c will not function. Of course, you can also set the A/C to "ON" the same way (useful when you need to heat and dehumidify your interior on some cool and very humid days).

The purpose of the air conditioning is not only cooling but also to adjust the humidity.
Nothing in the car is water only, so if you have water in your parking space then it has to be from the a/c unit.

Yes, that what I have been doing for a while: I set the temperature, set climate control to AUTO, and then turn off A/C. In general, I don't find the TSX climate control works that well.
