Well, I will be pulling off my valve cover to change out the gaskets since I found a leak. Figured I'd adjust the valves. So I've been searching and from my research the clearance should be intake .21-.25 and exhaust .25-.29. I just wanted to confirm before I start doing the adjustments.

You are spot on.

From the service manual:
Valve Clearance(cold)
Intake 0.21 - 0.25mm (0.008 - 0.010in.)
Exhaust 0.25 - 0.29mm (0.010 - 0.011in.)

 

Someone else posted about this not too long ago. I posted a picture of the service manual. I also agree with what you guys posted.


Can you also tell us how many miles you have on the car and how far out of tolerance each valves were? I never did mine at the 100K mile mark. Im also curious to know if it idles a little quieter when you have the hood open.

 

Good time to replace valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals.

Thanks. I am rolling up on 120k. Changed spark plugs just before 100k mark. Parts should be here on Tuesday.
