Tsx Veesix rough Idle when in drive

when in drive and completely stopped I feel a strange rough idle kinda like a mild loopey one. When I shift to neutral it goes away but the second it's in drive again it starts again. It only happens when the car is warm when its cold I have no such problem. My mod list is a takeda sri, rv6 precat deletes, rv6 jpipe, dc sports exhaust and p2r throttle body spacer. I dont want to go to the dealership as they might blame my precats and void my warranty. Is this something to worry about? Input greatly appreciated.

damn, everyone jocking my "veesix" slang.
you can use it!

Musty is correct.
Ive seen your threads, and it seems like you like to drive hard.
I would check the motor mounts.
there is a vacuum line that goes to a motor mount.
couldnt hurt to look at them

report your findings

Happens to my i4 as well. Minor problem yet VERY annoying at times.

not the motor mounts guys or the vacuum hose. might just be the exhaust rattling?

How did you check the mounts?

I doubt it's the exhaust. Unless it's something really loose, you're more likely to hear a rattling exhaust vs. feeling it---particularly enough to confuse with a rough idle.

Rough idle is frequently associated with unstable RPM, you could try an OBD reader to see if that is true. If the RPM fluctuates like crazy, you may want to check the ignition system (grounding, wires, plugs, coil packs).

My idle is rough at times as well, just got the car certified a week ago at 30k miles, not the mounts nor any mods (I don't have any!). I think it may be a characteristic of the 3.5 as the accord seems to do the same thing. let me know if you find out anything new!

Next time I go out to the car I'll pay more attention, mine actually idles rougher when cold IIRC so it's probably different.

^you're correct.

on cold start ups; the car is designed to throw fuel onto the primary cats thus warming the cats up faster and giving off less emissions.
long story short; yes, on cold starts it will be rough.

^this only applies to the v6 as the primary cats are coming right off the heads.

My V6 idles smoothly when warming up and when warm. If anything it might be smoother while cold since the RPMs are higher than normal.

Maybe the OP and DocRadar should post a video. I'll take a video of my car if that helps.

Took me a while to update guys but it doesn't seem to be the actual idle as I monitored with my code reader or the motor mounts. I think it might just be the exhaust rubbing or something like that because it is getting worse and only at low RPM in drive. It sounds like a rub now since it is louder and metallic. I'll be taking it to a muffler shop to see if they can fix it.
