Stuck In Park - Checked Fuses - Replaced Brake Pedal Switch & Shift Lock Solenoid ?
Hi everyone,
I attempted to troubleshoot my friends 2011 TSX and his shift is still locked in P (Park). We initially check all the fuses, replaced the brake pedal switch, and even the shift lock solenoid. We rechecked the fuses.
He said that initially the passenger taillight bulb went out and then two other taillight bulbs then the shifter was stuck in (P) Park. We replaced the Brake Pedal Switch and all the taillights function.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will also soon post a DIY step by step on how to replace the shift lock solenoid even though we didn't need to replace ours.
Thanks

If the shift lock solenoid is not getting an open signal (grnd from PCM), you will need to trace the circuitry to look for a fault.
A shop manual is essential for wiring diagrams and diagnostic sequence/results.
good luck
