Hi

Need your advise, my car started having this weird grind before starting:


This happens when the engine is cold, but after it did that once, when you turn off the engine and then on again, it does not grind.

Isn't the VTC actuator issue 4-banger-specific? Different P/Ns for V6 me thinks?

Took it to a local mechanic, they said it might be the starter, they said they can only get the part from Acura since there is no aftermarket for it, i was being quoted $1000 for the starter, this car probably has the most expensive starter, sucks. but i ordered the part separately from bernardi acura ($670). Looks like the gears are not engaging the flywheel directly causing it that grinding noise.
