Squeaking Brakes..
Squeaking Brakes..
My steering wheel started vibrating everytime Id start to brake. Instead of just changing out the brake pads, my friend decided to get my rotors turned. He took them to NAPA. After putting on the turned rotors and new brake pads, the car started to drive worst. We then realized NAPA didn't do a good job so we took them to Oreillys. Oreillys said that NAPA really did a horrible job so they had to fix them.
After putting on the rotors and new brake pads, my steering wheel doesn't vibrate at all but now my car squeaks anytime I brake. The noise is killing me! Is it because the rotors were turned twice so they are too smooth and I need to try to sand them so they wont have such a smooth surface or should I just go ahead and get new rotors?!
THANKS!

If you've turned them twice, get new ones. They're ok to turn once, but if you do it twice you're taking off too much material for them to distribute the heat quickly enough to not warp. They'll warp again, and faster than they did the first time.
I've already had mine resurfaced once by the dealer & they did it with a mobile lathe that resurfaces them *on the car*. In any circumstance it would be a better job than doing it on the car.
