squeaking brakes

intermittently, when i'm braking at 10mph or less, i hear a squeak from the rear brake (i think its the rear)

i figured maybe something got stuck and it would dislodge itself after some driving, but after a few hundred miles it hasn't

i've already told acura about this via their survey (so i expect a call from them any day now), and plan to take it into the dealer.

personally i find it unacceptable for a 30K car to do this

over a honda forum i used to frequent, many 08 accord owners had this problem too (but more pronounced, ie. squeaking all the time. fortunately, most if not all got it fixed via new rotors / pads under warranty)

anyone else experience this?

Funny you post this as I have also run into the same thing. I was hoping it was something just lodged in there, but it seems to be still occurring. It's intermittent but it's usually when i'm braking during slow speeds like you said.

I think i'll have to take mine into the dealer soon as well to see what the deal is.

do NOT expect a call.

call the service department.
Acura cares less than you think, trust me.

my survey was terrible, never got a call on anything.

I ask which advisor has been there the longest and if they seem cool then I align myself with them.

Also, I kinda take the opposite approach by telling the advisor that I understand the CSI scores and that I'll always give him/her an "excellent" if I feel like they're making an effort to assist me. If I get the "Unable to duplicate" crap from the tech, I'll cite the TSB # to the advisor the next time I'm in (if I don't give it to them in the first place.)

This will go wayyyy farther to help my cause no matter what it is.
