Smell!?!?!?
Wassup Acurazine,
I have a 2009 TSX Base Model with approximately 375 miles on it. (Got it at 10 miles) Every time I drive the vehicle and come to a complete stop/park, I sense a weird smell, like heated metal or something around those lines. I only smell this outside of the vehicle. I was wondering if this is a common issue with the TSX models.
I also drive a 2007 TL (My Sis’s Car) and I’ve never experienced that smell with her car.
I would like to get some ideas, advice, or experiences.
Thanks in “Advance” (Just a little stupid Acura Joke).

There is cutting oil used when the exhaust system is produced that will make a funny smell, there's off-gassing of different materials with the heat and run cycling. It's normal on a new car.
I've had the exact same "burning" smell with every new car I've ever bought. It's the engine heating up and baking surrounding components and is totally normal. I like it every time I smell it I know there is a new car in the garage.
