Scratch in Windshield

I have this very annoying scratch in my windshield from who knows where and I've never had one of these before in every car I've owned. I am not willing to buy or pay for a new windshield as it's too expensive and I'll only do OEM. I need to remove this scratch before it drives me up a wall though. I'd take a picture but the camera will not show it. It can't be felt but it is clearly visible to me while driving in day or night. It's in the middle of the windshield lower portion. I have attempted to clean it several times and it will not come out thus why I believe it's an actual scratch. The scratch is angled in an arch and is about this long.

-------------------------------------------------

I need a way to remove this. I've owned a 2001 Cavalier that still in service for my brother, 08 Civic, 2012 RDX, and now a 2012 TSX. Only the TSX has ever had this issue and it's the car I'm keeping for a while. Help me before I go nuts... this TSX has been a scratch filled nightmare.

PS: Sorry if I sound demanding. A replacement is out of the question so if there is no removal than I'm stuck with it.

Well, I went out there again and I can actually feel it slightly. I'm beyond pissed off right now and I no longer want to drive this car it annoys me so much. But I'm also not spending the money on an OEM windshield and I won't do a third party windshield either.

Wear and tear or not, this is ridiculous. Go figure, a 2012 Acura TSX bought in June has this where a 4 year old Civic did not.

Maybe I don't get it. You're mad because you got something caught in the windshield wiper and it scratched your windshield? Objects harder than glass will do that.

If it is actually a scratch (no way to tell on your photo) then it may be buffed out using a windshield polishing kit - or like Pyro said - get Safelite to do it.

This is not your car's fault nor is it a warranty issue.

You could use a clay bar to see if the mark comes off because it may not be a scratch.

I wrote my original post in annoyance more than anything. I know all about objects being able to scratch glass but I never thought it would happen. I will contact Safelite on a day off and see what they can do about it. I didn't mean to say that it was the fault of my car as it honestly wasn't nor is it a warranty issue. But thanks for the tips on Safelite. I'll see if they can remove it and if not I'll live with it.

Edit: I'll try the clay bar first and see if it's not a scratch. I'm almost 100% positive that it is indeed a scratch but again, who knows.

You can also try a DIY polish like Autoglym

Thank you for bolding that. I will attempt to use that first. Thanks again, ceb. You have helped me through my rough "scratch" experience thus far from beginning to now.
