Rubbing sound low speed

Hi - 2010 tsx 2.4 6mt here with 204k. Michigan car driven year round.

Recently I have started hearing a rubbing sound from the rear of the car when I take off at low speeds. It sounds slowly cyclical and speed related but goes away after a few seconds and never if I go above maybe you 10mph.

I would think this would be a sticking caliper but it goes away so quickly? I tried temping the brakes with IR thermometer after a trip but breaks both seemed to be around 110 degrees in the rear. Both fronts around 100.

couldn't find much information on google for this issue, can anyone let me know what this is, pouny me to a post on the forum, or suggest any tests I can do to figure out what's going on?

Let me know if there are any other questions that may shed more light on this.

thank you

Brake pad wear indicator? Take off your rear wheels and check / clean the brakes - Also check the splash shield and other hardware in the area.

Quick rust buildup on the rotors? Look at them before you start moving? See if holding the brakes lightly for first few seconds of driving makes it go away?

Solved

Hey guys, I really should have just pulled the wheel off and looked at what was going on.
Since this has never happened to me before I just assumed it would be a funky caliper or something I wasn't going to be able to see easily.

What had happened was the slide pin had fallen out of one of the two locations on the caliper.
I put two new ones in (they come in pairs) with some fresh grease and I assume that when I take it out today to test drive it will be fine.

Thank you!
