Smile Rattle from rear speaker shelf? TSB it!

There was a metal-on-metal rattle on my 2009 TSX Tech; with the radio off, I can hear rattling noise from the rear speakers.

On my previous vehicle, I dealt with it for over 70k miles, my dealership wouldn't fix. On a luxury vehicle such as Acura, I wasn't about to accept it.

Speaking with my service advisor, he understood what I was refering to and said there is an Acura equivalent of DynaMat, a sound deadening/dampening material often used to insulate door panels to prevent rattles from bass/speakers... he mentioned there's a TSB for it and he'd take care of it on the rear shelf.

Will report back when I get my vehicle back.

Cool? Could you post the TSB # if possible?

Its rare but sounds like a loose speaker. check also the brake light so its not loose. If you remove the cover look for screw and nuts just laying. A teak might have dropped one n didn't see it.

I seem to be having the same metal on metal rattle near one of the rear speakers. Has anyone found a fix for this?

This has been driving me crazy. Please post the TSB! I've gone to back to my dealership twice and the problem is still there, it gets very annoying. It sounds like a crackling or something is loose that holds up the speakers

If it is a snapping and popping sound, you can fix it by putting a screwdriver between two of the welds and making more room for the metal to move. There are some threads for this repair on this site.
