I am close to pulling the trigger on a 09 tech package, auto, tsx. I had a 04 and loved it and need a commuter car soon and the TSX represents a nice well rounded package. I'm curious about those who have had problems and included a poll. Feel free to post specifics, including if you've had no trouble. Please share what you define as major/minor problems if you've had them, thanks!

 

Great poll, iTimmy, and I see that you and I are in the same boat so this thread will definitely be of much help to us.

It seems as if a huge chunk of these issues seem to be Tech specific, so I am getting the impression that if one buys the Base, they will have much less to deal with.

 

09 TSX, Tech, AT, only minor problem with rear shelf crackling over bumps and rough roads. Will wait for something major to come-up before going in for Warranty Work.

 

09 TSX, Tech, AT, my problem is my front passenger side speaker are getting blown.
other then that...all's good here.

 

While this is hardly conclusive and a very narrow number of entries, it is encouraging.

 

all you need to do is look over the whole problems and fixes forum for the 2g.
there is a list of a whole bunch of issues the car has.
the earlier the build date, the more problems you will have.
they've worked most of them out by now except for the engine pinging issue
and I think the molding around the windshield still has no concrete fix.
the rest of the stuff has been corrected on newer models for the most part.
so just make sure to buy one with as new of a build date as possible.
