Problem with a/c vent going to the foot compartment??

Hi all,

I don't post much. I have a 2010 TSX. She has 105k miles and is still going strong. It is getting cold and I noticed that when I have the heater on, my feet are still pretty cold even though the central vents blow out heat just fine. I switched the modes to even just blowing at the foot compartment, but it doesn't get very warm. A loaner ILX I received a couple weeks ago did not have this issue. I placed my hand under the foot compartment and felt there is warm air being blown out, but felt weak.

Does anyone know what may have caused this? Something partially blocking the vent perhaps?

Thanks in advance. PS I tried searching for keywords and saw nothing relevant so I made the thread. Sorry in advance if this was covered at some point.

I have a 2009 TSX with 145,000 miles on her and experiencing the same problem. I'm going to check to see if I still have air in the system since I recently changed my coolant and attempted to replace the thermostat. However, I was only able to get 2 of the 3 bolts off the thermostat housing. The bottom bolt was rusted and I couldn't remove it.

Did you do any working on your cooling system recently? If not, the blend door may be the issue since you have hot/warm air to the central vents. Also, have you checked or changed your cabin air filter recently?
