Took it to the dealer was the clutch. After 1 year and a week only have 15 k miles. Not too happy since I don't abuse the car.

sounds like classic symptoms of a slipping clutch, doesn't make sense at only 15k though

OP not questioning your driving habits, since I have no clue how you drive, but have you been riding the clutch? Like resting your foot on the pedal while you drive?

It def wasn't something I was doing since Acura is covering 95% of the cost to replace it. And the clutch is a wear item.

Sounds about right with acura trannys tho, even through the years. Another Reason i traded my '01 TL-P for the CL 6speed was to avoid the tranny going on me. My friend who has a 2008 TLS auto also had to have his tranny replaced after a year, no abuse either, and another friend who has a 2011 TL had to have his tranny replaced too after 6months.

Knockin on wood for our trannys to hold up.

Did Acura say what the problem was? Sounds like it may have been something beyond your control since they're pretty much paying for the repair.
