Intermittent remote response

Hey guys, my 2010 V6 has developed an interesting issue. It responds to the remote for lock/unlock/trunk intermittently, sometimes taking a lot of button pushes to get it to work. Same issue happens with two old remotes and one brand new remote that I got under a TSB and never used, so it's not a remote problem. About a month ago I took the driver side door apart to replace the armrest, so I'm thinking there may be some connection loose on the door switch box, but the lock/unlock/windows all work flawlessly from the inside, plus the issue developed weeks after I did the repair. It doesn't respond in any way, no light flashes, no beeps or lock attempts, until it intermittently works. All the doors lock and unlock without fail, so it's not an actuator issue. Any ideas? Research leads me to an MICU problem as well, but I'm thinking it can't be that since it works from the inside. It's as if it is not receiving the signal from the keyless radio at all.

If you figure it out let me know, because my remotes do the same thing but I didn't mess with anything like you did. They seem to work better if I use them more slowly, like with a slow firm press rather than a quick one. Call me crazy.

Have you rules out any outside signal interference?

This happens consistently no matter where I am. Consistently inconsistent, if you will. And I've never had the issue before.

Do you have window tint? Some tints can interfere with signal.

No tints, and it's happening on all my remotes simultaneously, old and new. Do you mean the actual car battery?

Since it does it with a brand new remote too I doubt it's the case, but I guess I'll have to try.

Nothing. The accessory ports shut off when the car is off. I have laser jammers, radar detector, and a dash cam hard wired otherwise. For the last 3 years now.

For posterity/informational purposes:

the immobilizer unit was the cause. In this generation, the immobilizer and keyless are one unit, on the steering column. It costs 70$ and needs to be flashed by an HDS at the dealer. That cost me 80$. No more intermittent remote response, works every time.
