Has anyone tried removing the inner tail lights on the trunk lid? I've replaced both outer tails but now I'm stumped on the inners. I know you have to remove the chrome trim piece which is held in by clips, is there something else I'm missing? Is the trim piece have double sided tape holding it in place? I've checked to see if the back up camera was holding it in place but I can't figure it out. The lights won't come out without that trim piece coming off. Let me know, thanks.

 

i have a strong feel chrome piece don't have to come out. there will be screws on the back of the tail-lights which you can access from the trunk, once those are removed the light should slide out

 

Yeah i found the screw behind the light but in order for the light to slide out, the chrome piece has to be removed or pried out, the light is under the trim.
